Re: Inaugural Scholarship Golf Outing

Date: July 7, 2001

Dear (Name)

I am writing to request you would consider a sponsorship for the Illinois Protective Officials Conference upcoming golf event.   The purpose of the event is to establish a Scholarship Fund for continued education in the code arena and of course to enjoy a day out of the office with our industry peers.

The Illinois Protective Officials Conference was established in 1961 and is primarily made up of Code Officials located throughout central Illinois.  IPOCs organizational objectives are to promote inspector professionalism, emphasize the need and importance of building codes, and most importantly to provide continuing education for Code Officials.  Currently IPOC provides service to 35 jurisdictions that encompasses close to 200 individuals members.

The Scholarship Fund is being created to provide financial assistance to IPOC members or students (College, High School, Vocational) associated with the organization and the code enforcement industry.  We are seeking hole sponsorships and or door prizes to assist in the development of this scholarship program.   There is no minimum sponsorship fee, all donations will be gladly received.

The golf outing scheduled for Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at the Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington.   The format for the event will be a 4-person best position, and tee times will begin at 10:00 11:06 a.m.   All who are interested in playing should contact Jim Hepperly with the City of Bloomington at (309) 434-2226.  The number of foursomes may be limited so be sure to register as soon as possible if you are interested.

Thank you in advance for your considering a sponsorship for this event, and hopefully your participation in the golf outing.  IPOC truly appreciates your taking time to consider this request and looks forward to your response.  As a member of IPOC I may be reached by any of the methods as listed below.

Sincerely,
